Often times, when a crystal breaks, it has taken the brunt of issues you have worked through and are now ready to release. It has broken on your behalf so that you will not have to experience the break physically; your body has been spared and lovingly cared for by your Highest Spiritual Guides and Angels. A break is also change made manifest—a change that can be felt as palpably as a sudden breeze.
At its essence, if a crystal breaks, it signifies that a shift has taken place. Sometimes this release point is unknown to you—the work you have done to get to this point of releasing/letting go may be unconscious on your part, but it is, nonetheless, true and impactful. So when a crystal breaks, the first thing to do is to offer thanks for all you have been given—all the blessings you have received—to allow this moment of healing to happen in your life. Allow yourself to think of the crystal as its own conscious being connected to Creator and thank it for its service to you.
Questions to Explore When a Crystal Breaks
Delving deeper may be of interest to you and, indeed, serve your good journey on this earth as a human. If a crystal of yours has broken, take a moment to visualize—in your mind’s eye —the occurrence and observe all that was present around the event. See again what was happening or what were you thinking about the moment before, or the moments around, the time the crystal broke. Notice how the crystal broke. For example, did it break in half, in pieces, or at a remarkable angle or point? What do the pieces look like to you now? What color is the crystal and what are its properties? Some or all of these observations may develop into a message.
Here are some other questions that may prove helpful in understanding the beauty of this moment. Think back to when and where you obtained the crystal.
- Did you buy it yourself, did you find it, or did you receive it as a gift from someone?
- What was happening around that time? Were you working through something then? If so, how do things stand now?
- Have you gotten through some or all of what you were working through or healing at the time?
- Who were the people in your life then? And now?
- What job did you have or what role did you play in your life or in the lives of others? And now?
In essence, how has your life changed since then? The answers to these questions and other musings will likely give you an understanding of what you have released or the cycle of healing that you have just completed. The answers may also point you toward the aspects of healing that would be best to give your attention to now. No matter what you receive, be easy in your heart, loving towards yourself, and happy for the message given. It was given with love, through and through, for your happiness.
Don’t Overthink It/More About Messages
Sometimes when a crystal breaks, it’s simply an accident. Gravity is, after all, one of the strongest forces around us, and everyone experiences clumsiness from time to time. In those moments, simply check in and see if a greater message is there for you. Trust that you will receive an indication—a feeling, a thought, a sudden glimpse of something that holds true meaning for you—as to whether or not this break was simply an accident.
If you feel unsure if you are receiving a message or if you’re having difficulty understanding what you are receiving and the confusion is causing your mind to swirl, take a deep breath and stop trying to figure it out. Ask that if your Guides and Angels have an important message for you, they will present it to you in a way that will be easy for you to understand.
Always remember, that it’s as important to not read into an honest-to-goodness accident as it is to take note and allow messages from your Highest Spiritual Guides and Angels to come through.
